The Void

“The Void”, from composer Thomas Mertlseder (“Forever Young”, “The Bricklayer”), plunges you into a desolate soundscape of industrial horror and mechanical warfare. Imagine vicious, grinding double bass loops, alarming atonal blasts, and the eerie drone of a submersible launching for war. To create this unsettling collection, Mertlseder combined recordings of his self-built “doublebass hurdygurdy” with gritty synth processing from the Qu-Bit Nebulae, Aurora, and Panharmonium. “The Void” delivers a potent dose of sonic dread for sci-fi thrillers, dystopian nightmares, and any project that demands a touch of mechanical malevolence.
